Friendships with Diversity This time, we had a very special annual reunion for our select HBS OPM38 Adventure Group. Because we were to complete our first leg of commitment of meeting every year, in a new continent for the next 6 years and this was the 6th year. AFRICA, ASIA, AUSTRALIA, EUROPE, SOUTH AMERICA and NORTH AMERICA, were the continents. Countries/States were Tanzania, India, Adelaide, Norway, Mexico and USA. Congrats to all. I have been planning to go to Bhutan for quite sometime,all by myself.This urge to go all by myself, has nothing to do with anyone, including my family. My family is everything to me. But over these past few years, I have developed this liking for solitude. I have really started enjoying being alone. I do not feel “lonely” when I am “alone”. We have come a long way in Globsyn. Our first offering in 1996 was YSM. The Software Finishing School concept was brought into the business horizon by us. People that time did not really understand what we were trying to do. Ever since my sons, joined my business, its been over 10 years now,I have been confronting this phenomena of being Boss and Dad, to my sons, Rahul and Romit. To the Land of my Forefathers on a World Bank project On November 22nd 2013, I boarded a flight to Dhaka to sign up for an assignment, that would take me to a new destination and a new role.
