Leave your thoughts Here, is wishing all my readers, a very Happy New Year. Welcome 2021. I don’t want to talk too much about 2020, Covid, the pain, the miseries, the recoveries, huge efforts by Health workers, doctors, some noble hearted civilians, philanthropists, big or small. Instead, I want to move and think ahead. Yes, vaccines and their arrival is key to society today. Let us pray that every human being in the world can access the vaccines, with ease and happiness in 2021, so that Covid-19 soon becomes another cold and cough syndrome, for all of us. To me... On 21st December 2020, I got the message, which I knew was coming. Swami Jitatmananda passes away. One of the most revered monks of our times, yet highly controversial, I had the good fortune of having contact with him for last 18-20 years. During this period, he moved from being Secretary of Swami Vivekananda’s birthplace (where I first met him), to at least 4 more locations, and finally moved into Swami Vivekananda’s home at Alambazar Math, from where Vivekananda had set up Ramakrishna Mission, Belur. He was in charge of Alam Bazar Math, for a while, then, he was moved... View Article

Our relationships will undoubtedly change post Covid-19. India will get affected quite significantly. Ever since our birth, when we were toddlers, from those days, the “warmth” signifies certain amount of touch, though not necessarily so. But most of our relationships develop through contacts — Face to face, hugs, shaking hands, close looks — something that we call ‘body language.’ Mind you, knowingly, and maybe unknowingly, we grow in our lives this way. So, unless you are a toddler today, who will be trained in a new way, most of us are victims of our so called “relationship” dynamics which hugely... View Article

Every intelligent human being as they grow in life, pass through various learning curves and as they do that, they add to themselves, their current state of intelligence, thoughts and feelings. For example, an intelligent guy at the age of 15 will add different things to his/her current status than at 21, 29, 36, 42 years and so on. While this journey continues, their exposure, experiences and intellect keep maturing over the years, thereby forming a structure within their brain. We call this their current vision, thoughts, imagination or intellect. At all these stages of life, they keep modifying their... View Article

Recently I met an 88-year-old fit Emirati gentleman, who is a civil engineer by qualification, and had worked with Sheikh Rashid when UAE/Dubai was getting structured and built. He has been instrumental in setting up oil stations, through Caltex all over UAE. HE IS A PIONEER. Hugely entrepreneurial and there is so much to learn from him. When he handed over his reins to the next generation and thought of relaxing and retiring after a hugely eventful life, he encountered another Project, where a lot of things were happening that seemed incorrect. More importantly, it made a lot of well–to-do... View Article

When I was an inmate of IIT KGP hostel during my student days, it was always difficult for me to be alone. I always had people, friends around me. Even during study time, I would go to someone’s room and study. I really didn’t know why. No, I was not scared of anything but yes, there was a certain element of comfort when I had others around me. Over the years, this continued. I was always a people’s person. Talking, conducting meetings, giving presentations, convincing people to think the way I do, has been part and parcel of a major... When you seem to have in the eyes of your well-wishers, achieved a lot and also successfully transitioned your business to your next generation happily and things keep moving on, then, what and how do you look ahead in life? How do you engage yourself meaningfully and continue to do things which engage you and you keep creating and developing? The motivation might at times be low and you start using words like ‘retirement’ etc. and get some kind of social acceptance of yourself. So, what do you do? First of all, we must believe that LIFE is a continuum.... View Article
