Transitioning the Business Now as I sit to write another blog/my diary today, I feel a bit relaxed. You know why? I have given my readers a quick update through my last few blogs what happened between end of 2016 and the beginning of 2020. Today,I am fully engaged in Philanthropy.With COVID-19 on us,it further gave me an opportunity to “Feed the Poor”over 5 cities in India,100 families full meals for a month each.I had started Kalyani-a Bikram Dasgupta Foundation,in 2009,with an inherent urge for social work,as I was building startup Globsyn and my huge belief, Management principles tomorrow will largely be based on compassion,caring, giving,and touching human lives. Since we are running a BSchool, empathy,compassion,caring and doing for each other,stood high.So, we started working with Old Age Homes, Specially abled kids, underprivileged kids education,etc., and our main volunteers,were our BSchool students.More and more students... The year started with the preparation of a mega launch in my life,of my memoir.What did it mean to me? It meant,that for the first time in his life, BDG was defining himself.He was going to say, that this is who he actually is.All thru my life, I was always an intrigue. Meant different things to different people. As a true Scorpion maybe, I could play the perfect role of not letting people know who I am actually. The last blog I wrote I wrote was on 16th.December’16,and today is 25th. April’20,some 40 months later…….(Phew!!!!), how time flies,so much happenned, and so much my blog readers missed directly to hear from me. Not fair. So,here I am today,first going by my past 40 months and the significant things which has happened in my life, some of them life changing and also life threatening !!! Today is Sunday,29th September’19.I am sitting in my Gazebo in Raichak Farm House.It is raining outside,and the environment is soft and emoting. I am listening to Caravan music,as well. On 14th.September’19,I launched my latest venture CALCUTTA BROADWAY. A philanthropic venture, focused on the junior artists,technicians, and support staff of Performing Arts, like, Music, Theater, Dance. As I stayed home, and went thru Yoga and Physiotherapy, with occasional Doc visits, I had lots of time for myself, to think of taking a call in my life. Many people who know me very well, kept saying, don’t disengage your brain, you will go mad. My creative instincts, and core philanthropic mind started coming to the fore.
